Coaches land on the Coach Hub
When a coach signs in, or finishes creating a team, Smagpie now opens the Coach Hub. That’s where your athletes, their form and their benchmarks are, so it’s where your day starts.
Athletes still start on their own page with yesterday, today and tomorrow. If you’re a coach who also trains, that page is now called My Day in the menu.
Get your team ready
A new team’s Coach Hub opens with a Get your team ready card. It lists the five steps that turn an empty team into one that’s training:
- Set up team basics in Team Settings → General Settings: timezone, units and the sports you coach. It ticks once you save with a time zone and at least one sport.
- Review team zones in Team Settings → Team Zones, so workouts scale to each athlete. It ticks when you open Team Zones after you’ve saved a sport in step 1.
- Invite your athletes from Athletes → Invite Athlete. It ticks when your first athlete joins, not when you send the invite.
- Set athlete benchmarks, from the benchmark column on the Coach Hub, or athletes with an Athlete Pass enter their own on Benchmarks. It ticks once one athlete has a benchmark for a sport your team has turned on.
- Assign your first workout on the Training Schedule, or a whole season with Training Plans.
Each step is a link to the place where it happens. The card ticks a step the next time you open the hub after it’s done, shows how many of the five are done, and goes away for good once all five are. It’s a list, not a wizard: nothing in Smagpie is locked until you finish, and you can do the steps in any order, except that zones need a sport saved in step 1 first.
Teams already on Smagpie
Your team sees the card too, until all five steps are done. Team basics and zones start unticked even if you set them up long ago, because Smagpie only records them from now on. To tick them, open Team Settings → General Settings and click Save once, then open Team Zones once.

Fixes & polish
- Athletes can buy their own Athlete Pass again. The Buy Pass button on the pass page had stopped working.
- The confirmation message now shows after buying an Athlete Pass or starting the Team Premium trial. It could disappear before you saw it.
- A new name, profile picture or pass now shows right away, without reloading the page.
