Training logs get a due date, and every date follows your team's clock

For All Coaches

At 12:01 on Monday morning, the Coach Hub told you your whole roster needed chasing. Nobody had missed anything yet. The week had just ended, and the reminder hadn’t even gone out. Too much red on a screen teaches a coach to ignore it, so this release gives training logs a due date.

NEW: Days to submit

Under Team Settings → Training Log there’s a new Days to submit setting, just below Reminder Day. It’s how many days athletes have after the week (or month) ends before they count as late. It starts at 2, so a week that ends Sunday is due Tuesday. Weekly teams can pick 0 to 7 days, and monthly teams 0 to 14.

Until a log is due, athletes who haven’t sent one show as Not in yet · due Tue, in neutral text rather than a warning. Once the due date has passed, they move to To chase, just as before. This applies on the Coach Hub strip and on the Training Logs page.

You can still nudge anyone early. Remind works in both states.

If your reminder day falls after the due date, the settings card shows a hint, so athletes don’t show as “to chase” before they’ve been reminded.

Sunday reminders ask about this week

A week now opens for logging on its last day. On Sunday, athletes can log the week that ends that day, and commenting on that morning’s long run is fine. A reminder set for Sunday asks about the week that’s ending, not the one before it. Reminder titles now read How was your week? and How was your month?

Reminders at 8 am, your time

Reminders used to go out at 8 am UTC. For a team in Georgia that meant 4 am, and for a team in Australia the evening. Now they go out from 8 am in your team’s time zone on the reminder day. Every training-log date follows your team’s time zone too, so a coach who’s travelling sees the same “last week” as the team.

Fixes: daylight saving and “today”

Several parts of the app worked out local time without allowing for daylight saving, so they were an hour off for half the year. Others treated “today” as the date in London. These are fixed:

  • An hour off in summer:
    • Start times of activities imported from intervals.icu
    • Fitness charts
    • The coach’s daily status board
    • Matching a completed workout to the one you assigned
    • The evening digest email, which now arrives at 7 pm local time all year
  • “Today” was the date in London: upcoming events, event badges, measurement dates, health-metric due dates and session streaks no longer jump a day ahead in American evenings or lag a day behind in Asian and Australian mornings.

Activities imported during past daylight-saving periods keep their original start times. Fitness charts correct themselves going forward.

Coaches with Monday-morning loggers: check Days to submit in Team Settings. Two days suits most teams, and you can raise it if your athletes need longer.

How this helps your coaching

  • For coaches:

A new Days to submit setting gives athletes time before they count as late. Until then, the Coach Hub says "Not in yet · due Tue" instead of "to chase". Remind still works whenever you want it.

  • For athletes:

You can log your week on Sunday, the day it ends. Reminders arrive at 8 am in your team's time zone, and your session streak counts the days you actually trained, wherever you are.
